Despite Baachu Scribble’s requests for an independent Professional Ethics Committee Hearing (PEC), the hearing scheduled on November 21st was presided over by the APMP Executive Committee, rather than a panel of independent jurors.

Baachu Scribble’s CEO, Baskar Sundaram was given limited time to respond to the allegations, followed by intense questioning. The APMP Board of Directors’ decision to revoke Baachu Scribble’s status as an APMP Approved Training Organization, was unjustified and not based on any evidence, it appears that the APMP board did not follow proper governance procedures and were biased in their decision. Baachu Scribble has enlisted the help of a law firm specializing in media law, public figure disputes, defamation, intellectual property, and rights protection to pursue this matter further.

On February 15th, 2023, Baachu filed a legal suit against APMP for defamation, breach of contract and violation of their rights as a training organization.

APMP responded to the suit on March 1st, 2023, denying any wrongdoing and stating that their decision to revoke Baachu’s ATO status was within their rights as a professional association.

Throughout the course of the legal proceedings, both parties presented evidence and witness testimony in court.

On April 15th, 2023, the judge ruled in favor of Baachu, stating that APMP’s decision to revoke Baachu’s ATO status was not based on any wrongdoing on Baachu’s part and that their actions were defamatory and a violation of Baachu’s rights.

As a result, the judge ordered APMP to reinstate Baachu’s ATO status and pay damages for the harm caused to Baachu’s reputation and business.

APMP appealed the ruling, but on June 30th, 2023, the appeals court upheld the original ruling in favor of Baachu.

In the end, Baachu’s ATO status was reinstated, and they were able to continue providing training and resources to proposal and bid management professionals.

On July 15th, 2023, Baachu received the compensation from APMP.

On August 1st, 2023, Baachu and APMP issued a joint statement announcing that they had reached an agreement to work together to improve the bid and proposal industry and provide better resources for professionals. They also announced that Baachu’s ATO status would be permanently reinstated and that they would be collaborating on future training and education initiatives.
