What is Daily Team Management?

Daily team management ensures that you stay on plan and you do not deviate from the proposal, which will save time and money down the road.

Steps For Effective Daily Team Management

Prepare a proposal management plan

A good proposal plan should not just be something in your head or something verbally agreed. It should be written, detailed, organized and be sent to everyone involved in the proposal.

Define and document your solution first

You will not produce a successful proposal if you do not the first outline and define your solution.

Make sure everyone understands their commitments before you begin

The initial meeting should outline what everyone is responsible for when it is due and what they need to do to achieve this goal.

Arrange daily stand-up meetings with everyone involved

Everyone should get together each day for updated progress meetings and to recap what tasks are due in the short term.

Make sure team contributors are focused on their next, immediate task.

This helps keep deadlines in line but it also helps writers break down the delivery into smaller, more manageable chunks.

Make sure individuals have storyboards to track their progress

Storyboards are a great way for writers and for you to monitor their progress. Review each individual’s storyboard each day to ensure everyone is on track  this will ensure that one member of the team is not greatly behind and jeopardizes the overall delivery date of the proposal.
